About Our Chapter

AITP (Association of Information Technology Professionals) is an international organization for information technology professionals which have been in existence since 1951. The Association for Information Technology Professionals is comprised of career minded individuals who seek to expand their potential — employers, employees, managers, programmers, and many others.

The Greater Wheeling Chapter is comprised of members from Ohio, West Virginia and Western Pennsylvania. The organization seeks to provide avenues for all our members to be teachers as well as students and to make contacts with other members in the I.T. field, all in an effort to become more marketable in rapidly changing, technological careers.

Our chapter, The Greater Wheeling Chapter, hosts regular monthly meetings on the second Wednesday of the month throughout the year with a variety of topics being covered.

Our monthly meetings are usually held at the White Palace at 5:30pm. We are an active chapter with about 20+ members regularly attending our monthly meetings which typically include social hour, dinner, after-dinner speaker and quick technology session. We also offer a Virtual component to our meetings for those that are too far away to attend in person or are not yet ready for personal contact because of the current COVID situation.

Our board meetings are held on the fourth Wednesday Virtually at 6:00pm. The monthly meetings and the board meetings are open to all members. Currently we are holding our board meetings Virtually on Webex until further notice.
